Hubert Nienhoff

Executive Partner

After qualifying at Aachen Technical University in 1985, Hubert Nienhoff started work for Christoph Mäckler Architects. From 1988 to 1991 he was Assistant Professor at the Chair of Urban Design and Material Studies at Aachen Technical University and, in 1988, joined gmp · von Gerkan, Marg and Partners Architects where he was appointed Partner in 1993. He is a co-initiator of the Academy for Architectural Culture (aac), where he teaches regularly. He has been responsible for numerous projects, such as the New Leipzig Trade Fair, Berlin-Spandau Railway Station, Berlin Olympic Stadium, the stadiums in Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth, Brasília, Manaus, and Belo Horizonte for the FIFA World Cup games in South Africa and Brazil, the Hans-Sachs-Haus in Gelsenkirchen, and the New Tehran Trade Fair.
